FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering & Shipping

When do you ship orders?
We typically ship orders on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to help avoid weekend delays and minimize transit stress on plants.

Do you combine shipping?
Yes! Orders placed within a reasonable timeframe may be combined whenever possible. Palm Street orders are often automatically combined by the platform.

Do you offer expedited shipping?
Yes. We offer expedited shipping options at checkout. Orders containing three or more plants may qualify for a complimentary FedEx 2-Day upgrade when available.

Do you ship nationwide?
We ship to most U.S. states. Plants marked "Ships Nationwide" are eligible for shipment to states requiring additional certification.

Do you ship to Puerto Rico?
Unfortunately, our nursery license does not currently allow shipments to Puerto Rico.

Can I pick up my order locally?
If local pickup is available, it will be listed as an option during checkout or announced during our live sales.

Plant Health & Quality

Are your plants pest-free?
We take pest management seriously and maintain a proactive integrated pest management program. However, because plants are living products grown in a greenhouse environment, we cannot guarantee they are 100% pest-free.

What should I do if I find a pest?
Please isolate the plant and treat it as part of your normal plant care routine. Most common plant pests can be controlled with appropriate treatment.

Do you inspect plants before shipping?
Absolutely. Every plant is inspected before it leaves our nursery.

Will my plant look exactly like the photos?
Not always. Every plant is unique. Variegation, leaf shape, coloration, and size can vary from plant to plant.

Do you sell rooted plants?
Most of our plants are well-rooted unless otherwise noted in the listing.

Tissue Culture Plants

What are tissue culture plants?
Tissue culture (TC) plants are grown in sterile laboratory conditions from plant tissue. They are genetically identical clones of the parent plant.

Are tissue culture plants beginner-friendly?
Some are, but many rare aroids require extra care during acclimation. We recommend researching the specific variety before purchasing.

Do tissue culture plants come in agar?
Most of our tissue culture plants are shipped in sealed acclimation bags unless otherwise specified.

Can I put my tissue culture plant directly into soil?
Not usually. Most tissue culture plants benefit from a gradual acclimation period before transitioning into standard potting mixes.

Live Arrival Guarantee

Do you offer a Live Arrival Guarantee?
Yes. We guarantee that your plants will arrive alive.

What if my plant arrives damaged?
Please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and provide clear photos of the plant and packaging.

What if my package is delayed?
Shipping delays are unfortunately outside our control. We evaluate delayed shipments on a case-by-case basis and work with customers to find a fair solution.

Returns & Cancellations

Can I cancel my order?
Orders may be canceled before shipment, but a $4 restocking fee per plant applies.

Do you accept returns?
Because plants are living products, we generally do not accept returns. However, we handle shipping damage and other issues on a case-by-case basis.

Can I return a plant if I change my mind?
No. Please review listings carefully before purchasing.

Plant Care

What potting mix do you recommend?
Most aroids thrive in a chunky, well-draining mix. A blend of bark, coco products, cinder, and other airy components works well.

How much light do rare aroids need?
Most prefer bright, indirect light. Avoid prolonged direct sun unless the species is known to tolerate it.

Why is my plant drooping after arrival?
Shipping stress is normal. Give your plant time to acclimate, maintain proper humidity, and avoid overwatering.

Should I repot immediately after receiving my plant?
In most cases, no. We recommend allowing the plant to acclimate to its new environment for at least a week or two before repotting.

Auctions & Live Sales

Where can I buy your plants live?
We regularly host live plant auctions (Wed-Fri) and sales on Palm Street.

Do you offer giveaways during live sales?
Yes! We frequently run giveaways, special promotions, and discounts during our live events.

Can I request specific plants during a live sale?
Absolutely. We love hearing what collectors are searching for and often bring requested plants to future shows.
